Tunisia’s wonderful white beaches flocked to the French especially and enjoy the excellent cuisine. But Tunisia is more than just beaches. There are salt lakes, forests, incredible desert scenery, bizarre architecture in the villages around Tataouine, beautifully preserved Roman ruins and much more.
Tunisia located in North Africa, which bordered by Libya to the southeast and Algeria to the west. On the African continent, it is the northernmost country, and the smallest of the nations situated along the Atlas mountain range. Around forty percent of the country is composed of the Sahara desert, with much of the remainder consisting of particularly fertile soil and a 1300 km coastline.
In Tunisia, Family Vacations are perfect for all ages with troglodyte dwellings to explore, desert dunes, Star Wars sets, gorgeous Mediterranean beaches, ancient forts and ancient bazaars.
May be Star Wars fans more familiar with Tatooine than Tunisia. But they are one and the same. Four of the Star Wars movies were partially filmed in southern Tunisia and the joyous thing is that many of the sets are still nicely preserved. You can wander around the desert bumping into robots, stay in Luke Skywalker’s home (now a hotel) and other Star Wars paraphernalia around Mos Espa.

Ksar Ouled Soltane in the province of Tataouine in Tunisia.
Tunisian food is delicious which differs from Egyptian and Moroccan cuisine because it’s quite spicy.
