The Winelands are located east of Cape Town creating some stunning vistas among beautiful mountains. With some excellent examples of typical Dutch architecture, the region is steeped in history and culture dating back to the 17th century. The Winelands encompass several regions each with their own wine tasting tours.
The most popular towns include Stellenbosch, which is closest to Cape Town, Wellington, Franschhoek and Paarl. Renting a car in Cape Town and spending at least a day or two in any of these towns is really worth. The Wineland Tours Region
The Cape Winelands, Stellenbosch, Comprising, Paarl, Durbanville, Franschhoek, and Constantia are the major wine producing areas of South Africa. The tours include visits and wine tastings at visitors expense in various estates in the winelands.

Stellenbosch was the second town to be established by the Dutch settlers and is the de facto capital of the Winelands. It is full of old thatched and very attractive with whitewashed Cape Dutch buildings and historic national monuments. These are also most impressive with the wine estates of Stellenbosch, with beautifully laid out grounds and grand manor houses.
The estates in the Franschhoek and Paarl regions are not to be missed. You’ll find beautiful wine farms here, charming guest houses, amazing restaurants and unforgettable wines. To explore the Cape Winelands, just sllow yourself enough time.
